Policy Director
The Coalition of Orange County Community Clinics is looking for
a bright, enthusiastic, and committed candidate to fill the
Director of Health Policy position. The individual must share
the organization’s mission to improve access to primary medical
care, specialty care, and dental services for the underserved
communities in Orange County.
Responsibilities: The Director reports to the CEO and will work
closely with the CEO to develop and implement an annual health
policy plan on behalf of consortia clinic members. The Director
will be the CEO’s right hand person on all local, state and
federal healthcare policy issues and must be proficient and
proactive in evaluating healthcare legislation relevant to the
community clinic industry. Interfacing with key stakeholders,
elected officials at all levels of government, and members will
be a major function of this position. On the development side,
the Director will be responsible for developing, implementing,
evaluating, sustaining grant proposals and grant renewals that
are relevant to the health policy arena. Excellent planning
skills and dynamic writing proficiencies are essential for
developing and designing health policy program proposals and
budgets. The Director must be a self-starter with initiative and
who is proactive in planning and completing projects. The
successful candidate must have strong leadership and public
speaking qualities and be able to facilitate committee meetings
with clinic members and key stakeholders and represent the
organization and community health centers to public and private
agencies.
Requirements: MA in social sciences, public health or
administration and three years in health care administration.
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Community clinic operational experience preferred. Knowledge of
Orange County’s safety net health care system preferred.
Occasional overnight travel required.
Salary: The salary range is $69,500 - $79,500. Competitive
benefits package available. EOE.

HIT/HIE Program Manager
In conjunction with CEO, provides guidance to planning,
coordinating and implementing the health information technology
(HIT) and health information exchange (HIE) initiatives for the
Coalition including “meaningful use” of Electronic Health
Records. Serves as the Coalition’s single point of coordination
for the development, application, and use of health information
technology and health information exchange. Works
collaboratively with the stakeholders including CalHIPSO,
CalOptima, CPCA, HCA and OCPHRIO to facilitate the advancement
of policy, needed to remove barriers to implementation. Works
with member clinics to devise mechanisms to facilitate
implementation of interoperable health information technology
that will improve care coordination, reduce redundant expenses
in obtaining information multiple times, improve health
outcomes, and enhance the ability to respond to public health
and quality imperatives.
